Throughout my career in obstetrics and gynaecology, I have developed a level
of expertise that allows me to provide the highest standard of care. I bring that depth of experience and a
genuine personal commitment to every pregnancy I look after.
What my patients value most is feeling truly listened to. Every appointment is
an opportunity to answer your questions and understand your concerns while ensuring you feel confident about
what lies ahead. A calm and informed mother is central to a safe birth experience and that belief shapes
everything I do.
When it comes to your delivery, protecting your baby and your body and
supporting your recovery matter enormously to me. Whether you are planning a natural birth or need a
caesarean section, I use slow and controlled techniques designed to minimise trauma. This helps you
recover as quickly as possible so you can be fully present for those first precious moments with your
baby.
For women who have experienced pregnancy loss I provide the specialised
clinical care and personal support required during such a sensitive time. Through both transvaginal and
transabdominal cervical cerclage procedures many women who suffered repeated losses have been able to
carry healthy full term babies. I understand the
anxiety these pregnancies bring, and I will be with you every step of the way.
If you are looking for a consultant who will be with you from your very
first appointment to the moment your baby arrives and through your first days as a mum I would be honoured
to be part of your story.
From Athens to London
A career built on optimal outcomes
Mr Myriknas grew up in Greece before coming to London to study medicine at St George's, University
of London, where he graduated in 2007. After his foundation years in South London,
he undertook specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the Oxford Deanery before moving back
to London
for sub-specialty training at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Trust.
He has remained at the Trust ever since. Throughout a career spanning
more than eighteen years, he has risen to become the obstetric lead for fetal wellbeing in his unit. In
this role, he is responsible for training colleagues in the monitoring techniques that keep babies safe
during labour and also participating in national and international conferences. This depth of NHS
experience sits at the heart of everything he brings to his private
patients.
He has always looked for ways to achieve better outcomes. When he identified an opportunity to improve
the technique for assisted delivery, he developed a new approach and tested it across 360 consecutive
cases. After publishing his findings, the ANEF
technique, minimising tissue injury, became cited in
peer-reviewed literature and is
now referenced by specialists across the field.
The same principle shapes his cerclage work. He has supported many women through pregnancies involving
cervical incompetence and deeply understands the anxiety and hope they carry. He consults in both
English and Greek and brings a clear
understanding to the needs of Greek families in London.

I wish to commend Mr Stelios Myriknas for his exceptional professionalism and pioneering approach
during the delivery of my daughter. After over 48 hours of active labour without progression beyond
9.5 cm dilation, Mr Myriknas employed an innovative forceps technique that required no additional.

I strongly recommend Dr Stelios Myriknas. He has delivered all our 3 children through C sections at
35/36 weeks. The pregnancies were complicated at high risk with severe case of OC but Dr Stelios has
delivered my children with confidence, warmth and skill. My children were delivered healthy.

My wife Anastasia and I had the privilege of being looked after by Dr. Stelios Myriknas throughout
her pregnancy at West Middlesex University Hospital, and we could not have asked for a better
doctor. Dr. Myriknas went above and beyond at every stage, not only monitoring my wife and our
unborn baby.

I will be forever grateful to Mr. Stelios Myrinknas for the incredible care and support he provided
during the birth of my first child. After two long days of early labour, my hopes for a natural

I required a caesarean birth because my baby was in the breech position. Stelios was really warm and
kind. He offered me a scan on the day to check if my baby had turned the right way around before the
surgery. He listened to my birth preferences (delayed cord cutting and skin to skin) and my.
